There's a lot of things in this world disappear. A lot of people in this world disappear, too. Some of 'em even want to. Like me, for one. I'm good at disappearin' -- you see, I'm invisible.
Yeah, yeah, I hear ya. Pull the other one, it's got bells on. Nope, sorry mate, it's true. Now you see me, now you don't. And yeah, the name. Now you get it, right? Hah hah. No, I got my reasons for not wantin' my real name out there. Folks I've worked with've been fine with it -- not that I give a toss about them anymore either.
That's another disappearing act all together. But then, it was kind of necessary, seeing as how they wanted me to disappear from this life and I don't plan to do that for a long while. If there's one thing I'm good at, it's survivin'. Found another way to disappear even when I'm visible, too, hidin' in plain sight. No one wants to see what looks like he might be a crazy homeless guy, so I can wander 'round the city pretty much unfettered. Lived that way for almost seven years, too, goin' from place to place, bein' either really invisible, or just unseen.
And then everything changed. Ya know how you meet someone and y'know they're going to be different; know they're gonna change you and you try ta keep it from happenin' but it does anyway? Yeah. And oh for fuck's sake don't go tossin' around the l-word, it's just-- shut it.
Only problem is, things happened and my past caught up with me. An' I blamed him, then did what I do best. Disappeared. And now I can't help feelin' guilty -- I swear, it's a curse. Should never have-- well, it's too late now, because I did. And I'm worried about him, 'cause now he's disappeared, and I've gotta find him...
